Old Ottawa South
An accessible home built to meet the needs and comfort of the multiple generations it shelters.
Industry acclaimed, this house shows it’s possible to have several large goals for a project. Through well-executed design, Revelstoke’s team of professionals accomplished them all, resulting in a beautiful, cohesive whole.

Solar panels provide green energy without drawing attention to themselves. Additionally, increased insulation in the walls and roof, high-performance windows, and reduced flow plumbing fixtures maximize energy efficiency.
The design’s primary purpose was to serve an aging family with limited mobility. It’s constructed in full accordance with the Canadian Standards Association requirements in Accessible Design for the Built Environment.
The ground floor is entirely manoeuvrable by wheelchair and features an elegant washroom with a shower built to barrier-free standards. Also, we made provisions for the future construction of a barrier-free ramp alongside the house.
