Bland to Bold
Old Ottawa South
Problem: This treasure on Toronto Street desperately needed a second wind. Multiple owners and several renovations over many years caused the home to looked tired, dated, and drained of its once uber-potent, corner lot curb appeal.
In addition to the exterior facelift, the owners came to Revelstoke needing more interior space for their highly social family.
Solution: Externally, we installed stone on the ground floor and EIFS stucco for the second storey. We replaced the dull white colour scheme with dark, vivid selections.
We extended the deep vibrant colouring to the front door and garage door. A long overhang soffit protects from the elements, while recessed lighting fixtures illuminate the home’s façade.
Our talented team transformed the underutilized area above the garage, constructing it into a second story family entertainment centre. Windows were sized to maximize both morning and afternoon sunlight.
Result: The family room’s couch lounging section and bench seating nook are ready for game night! Future plans for a pool table in front of the fireplace will complete their amazing above-garage retreat.
The refreshed appearance makes this home a certified attention-grabber in its classic, well-established neighbourhood.
