Transforming Traditional into Contemporary
Brantwood Park
Problem: Natural splendor surrounds residents of Brantwood Park. The seasoned Old Ottawa East neighbourhood is curtained by greenery, the Rideau River, and the iconic Rideau Canal.
Established post-war, the entire area’s undergoing a revitalization. With new infill builds and substantial renovations of existing housing stock, the owners of this Belgrave Road home were eager to also bring theirs up to date.
Solution: Revelstoke designed the new layout to be responsive to the irregular lot shape. The property tapers into a significantly narrower rear lot width, causing a “stepping” effect along the easterly side yard.
Upon entering, the front foyer’s inlay patterned slate flooring instantly mesmerizes. Regal elements are everywhere. The kitchen exudes warmth and elegance with its granite countertops, marble backsplash, espresso hues, and maple millwork.
The plush ambiance continues into the main bathroom’s vanity selections, lavish countertops, and large porcelain one-piece sink. Or, escape to the ensuite instead. Travertine marble and a custom all glass, oversized, multiheaded shower make daily living feel extravagant.
Result: The tired appearance and antiquated design transitioned into a pragmatic, ultramodern space fit for a vibrant young family. This home now reaches its potential and echoes its epic neighbourhood!
